Exterior waterproofing consists of digging the dirt outside the wall down to the footing to completely expose the wall. Then, a waterproofing membrane is applied in a thick layer to help seal any cracks on the wall and a vapor barrier is then installed along the wall over the waterproofing membrane. A perforated pipe is installed in the trench and covered with gravel. Dirt is then placed back to cover the trench. This is a great solution, because it reinforces better drainage outside your home.
